Wheatstone Concertina Ledgers - Horniman Museum

The great Horniman Museum Library in London has acquired a collection of manufacturer's ledger books from C. Wheatstone & Co., makers of concertinas. Included are sales records from the 1840s to the 1860s, and production records from the 1860s to the 1890s, with some large gaps. The Wheatstone Co. was an important developer of the English concertina. The ledgers have been digitized and placed online for the purposes of scholarly study.
